Meetings at the house

I am standing at the back corner of our lot. I'm taking pictures while we have our first walk thru at the new house. You can see Brian and Becky's house to the left in the pix. Yesterday we met with the Cabinet Maker, the Electrian, and with Frank. Frank is one of the Hancho's at Phoenix Custom Homes. a great guy! It was a 3 hour meeting. We had to decide how we wanted our cabinets, design our entertainment center, change whatever we did not like and add what we did. We walked thru the whole lot with the electrician deciding where every canned light, every fan, every electrical outlet, the flood lights in the backyard, electrical out lets in the backyard for future pool, it was extensive. Frank took us thru every room so we could approve everything that was right and change the things that were wrong. Everything was perfect. Frank laughed and said," Usually I have to tell the couples to hug when we are all done. You guys did great, agreed on about everything." I have to say we have had such a great experience building this house with Shannon Roberson, Phoenix Homes. Everyone has been fabulous. Our first meeting to look over the plans and approve them with Shannon and Frank took 2 hours. They explained to us they wanted us to be happy with everything to the tiniest detail. We were encouraged to go out to the site every night so we could see the progress and find anything that was not done according the plans. That shocked me. Usually builders want to be left alone until your house is done. Don't question them. We have been told our last walk thru will last for 5 hours...every door and window will be opened and shut, every light and electrical outlet will be turned on and off. They want to go thru every inch of the home to find any problems so they will fix them before we move in. Like I said "This is a wonderful experience building our dream home with Shannon Roberson and his team."
